Our Mission

The mission of the Office of Research Services (ORS) is to enable excellence in research, scholarship and innovation across the LSU Health Sciences Center – New Orleans by:

• Facilitating timely review of grant proposals, research agreements and research protocols for submission to review committees, sponsors or funding agencies;
• Ensuring conduct of research in compliance with regulatory policies and ethical standards thus safeguarding the rights and welfare of both researchers and human and animal research participants; and
• Providing customer-focused and solution-oriented services to the research community to enhance research quality, productivity and collaboration.

In so doing, ORS contributes to the institution’s core missions of research, education and public service.
